Ton Ruey
Ton grew up in a Chinese family speaking three languages: Portuguese, Mandarin, and English. During his childhood, he lived in LA and spent some time in Asia.
He holds a degree in Social Communication and a postgraduate degree in audiovisual. He started his career as an Art Director and Motion Designer. He was the Head of the Art Department at O2 Filmes for 4 years and among his notable works are the Opening of the Rio de Janeiro Olympics, the Museum of Tomorrow, UN/Rio+20, and the World Expo in Shanghai for O2 Filmes. In 2019, he took a sabbatical and embarked on a trip around the world, visiting 21 countries on 5 continents over 9 months. Upon returning to São Paulo, he worked as a freelancer for the European market and directed motion graphics and animation projects for the national market. In 2021, he joined the team of directors at Y42.
